Hello!
Finally, I am done with all university thesis and stuff.
The first stop is Coromandel Peninsula.
The scenery are all breathtaking especially the sea and beaches.. I did not take so many pictures but supposed to be enough to give a brief reference and peek as for how beautiful Coromandel is ^^
This is a simple-small Coromandel Town, though I believe you will not want to spend so much time wasted in this town.
Next, I went to Driving Creek Railway. If you ever see any blog or Coromandel tour pamphlet, they will recommend you to go for this place. Being honest, you will not see so much during the trip (an hour trip return), but it is all worth once you reach the peak of the mountain in which they call it "Eyefull Tower"
Since this is a road trip, one day trip (took almost 2 in a half to 3 hours driving). So, we just wanted to check out the scenic lookout - Maungataururu Scenic Lookout.
Then, we wanted to go for a New Chums Beach, which is in #7 of the 10 great New Zealand beaches according to this CNN's article
Sadly, that beach could not be reached without walking, and we only had a really short time since we were planning to go back to Auckland before the sun sets. Thus, we ended up in this beach William Mangakahia Lagoon Reserve, and it was not bad at all.
If you want to go for New Chums Beach, you will and you must go from this beach anyway because there is no other way to reach New Chums. For you to be able to reach New Chums Beach, it will take around 20 to 25 minutes walk from this William Mangakahia Lagoon Reserve.
Last stop, just before the sun sets, we took a short break from driving and ended up in Whitianga Beach.
